Spring Rush

It has been a while since I wrote anything on the blog and that is because life has been so manic.  We have finished fert spreading and Andrew is now busy spraying for Sclerotinia in the rape today.  Everyone thinks harvest is a farmer's busy time but I think Spring can give it a run for its money.  There are two new solar parks on the farm and these are taking up a lot of time at the moment with regards to reinstatement and also putting all the necessary bird boxes etc that are a requirement of the planning.

With the equine laundry business we are flat out and doing record numbers of rugs per week.  I still love going out and about to collect the rugs but this is becoming more difficult as time goes on.  If you know anyone who is good with an industrial sewing machine and capable of man handling heavy horse rugs then point them in my direction.

The overboots are going so well which means it has been a great few weeks.  The two day warm snap brought in lots of retail orders which only gives us greater faith in what we are selling.  I am going to have to place another order this week so if you want anything specific in large quantities then please drop us a line.

This week I have also been asked to make up some embroidered pairs of Overboots for a farmers stag do.  I will post a pic once I have them.  Something a bit different so if you think that you it might want a good Stag do present then you know where to come.

Must be time to go and sit down and watch a twee Sunday night drama.  As always help spread the word by retweeting and sharing.
